NASCAR Cup Series drivers Bubba Wallace of 23XI Racing and reigning Cup Series champion Ryan Blaney are one of the closest friends in the garage. The duo are among the most famous drivers in the series. They are infamous for their friendly banter online, especially X (formerly Twitter), which often comes out of the blow and confuses the fans.

Their most recent beef was over an X post from the No:12 Team Penske Racing Ford Mustang driver where he misspelled the name of Rapper Lil Jon. Blaney posted, “Roller blades,  Lil John and Luda got this halftime show ROLLING now.” He acknowledged his impressive Super Bowl halftime show cameo from Lil Jon and Ludacris.

Jon and Ludacris helped Usher, who led the half-time show, set the stage on fire. Usher’s performance at the event is considered one of the best in the recent years of the sport, and it might’ve given the Kansas City Chefs the boost they needed as MVP Patrick Mahomes led the team to an incredible comeback victory to secure back-to-back Super Bowls with the win over San Francisco 49ers.

Blaney spotted his mistake soon, and since he didn’t have the X Blue Tick feature, he posted another message apologizing and blaming the spelling error on auto-correction. He wrote,  “My apologies. JON. Damn you autocorrect.” Wallace, who came across the X post, took a shot at Blaney, relying “uncultured” to his tweet. The fans in the comment session were enjoying this interaction.

Bubba Wallace and Ryan Blaney will face off at Daytona 500

Wallace and Blaney are among the most talented drivers when it comes to Superspeedway racing. Since their debut in the Cup series, they have often been a factor in such tracks. Going into the 2024 season opener, the Daytona 500, both are searching for their maiden win on the track.

Both drivers’ Superspeedway wins have come in Talladega but he is winless at Daytona. They are among the drivers with the most front raw finishes in the Daytona 500 without a win. Blaney is part of the unique set of NASCAR Cup champions never to win the Daytona 500.

Both are coming into the 2024 season after having their best year in a Cup car, and the main goal is to continue the streak with a strong start at Daytona. Blaney wants to defend his title, while Wallace is hoping to have a deep playoff run and be a significant factor in the 2024 championship equation.
