In a weekend that set Las Vegas Motor Speedway ablaze, Hendricks Motorsports’ Kyle Larson commanded the NASCAR Cup Playoffs race, seizing victory spectacularly. Larson’s unparalleled skill was on full display as he led most of the race and engaged in a thrilling tête-à-tête with JGR’s Christopher Bell, ultimately solidifying his spot in the title race at Phoenix.

Under the glow of Larson’s victory, Bell, despite showcasing notable skills in the South Point 400 race and securing the pole position, was overshadowed by Larson’s extraordinary prowess on the Tri-Oval Superspeedway. Bubba Wallace‘s spotter, post-race on the Door Bumper Clear podcast, expressed sheer amazement at Larson’s triumph in Vegas and the versatile week he had. Hailing Larson, he said, “The guy is ridiculous. In one week he won a Sprint Car championship of an 11-race series.”

Wallace’s spotter, Freddie Kraft, acknowledged understanding Bell’s frustration, mentioning the issue of being caught behind lapped cars and losing ground. “It stings when you get stuck for a lap and lose a little bit of time, and you end up on the guy’s bumper,” sympathized Kraft, acknowledging Christopher Bell’s lament about the challenges faced during the South Point 400 race.

However, Kraft didn’t mince words when drawing a comparison between Bell and Larson. In the oval racing world, Kraft asserted, “He’s not as good as Kyle Larson, which by the way, nobody is, at running the oval.” It was a stark truth, acknowledging No:5 driver’s exceptional talent that sets him apart even in elite racing circles.

Hindered by pit road and lapped car delays, Bell finished as the runner-up, leaving him 2 points below the cut-off line for the Championship 4 race. On the other hand, Larson rose to the top of the charts with the win in Las Vegas and is all set to carry the momentum forward in the upcoming race at Homestead-Miami.

Looking ahead to the Homestead-Miami race, Kraft outlined Bell’s path to redemption. “So unfortunate for him, but I think he is going to be fine. He’s got plenty of speed. He just has to limit mistakes like he has had in the past,” expressed Kraft, urging Bell to harness his potential and maintain focus to secure a top finish.

As the Homestead-Miami event looms, Larson anticipates a back-to-back triumph on the track. Meanwhile, Bell, yet to clinch a victory in Homestead, strives to shatter the winless streak in Miami. His aspirations extend beyond the track, aiming to secure a pivotal spot in the championship 4 title race in Phoenix.
