“Celebrating their past while snubbing Mark Martin,” NASCAR Twitter reacts to RFK Racing Matt Kenseth Tribute scheme

RFK Racing will celebrate its legendary driver with a special pain scheme. It will be featured in the No:17 car of Chris Brusher. Fifth Third Bank ride will match Kenseth Ford Fusion and will also have a NASCAR Hall of Fame logo on the side to commemorate his HOF induction.
Matt Kenseth who started his cup career with Roush in 2000 gave the team its first cup Title ever in 2003. He achieved the feat by just winning a solo race that season. He went on to race for RFK till 2013 and made a comeback for a 15-race short spell in 2018. Kenseth won 24 races for RFK in 13 and a half years. He retired from full-time racing in 2020.
RFK Racing owner Jack Roush, in a press release about the paint scheme, pointed out that Matt Kenseth was one of the drivers that put the team on the map. He was one of the most talented and productive drivers of the sport. Roush added that the team is proud of his Hall Of Fame induction.
“Matt is really one of the guys that helped to put us on the map…one of the most talented and productive drivers in the sport’s history and we are very proud to see him be honored and inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame,” Jack Roush said.

How NASCAR Twitter reacted to the Matt Kenseth announcement

Long-time RFK fans were quick to express their happiness about the announcement. They shared their favorite paint schemes of the veteran. There were also some mixed reactions from fans who were disappointed by the lack of appreciation the team is showing towards RFK legends Mark Martin and Kurt Busch who holds similar records as the two times Daytona 500 winner.
