Chase Briscoe knocked defending cup champion Kyle Larson to secure an entry into the playoff Round of 8. Though they are a few controversies surrounding his postseason progression, Briscoe has earned the right to retain his playoff spot.
Chase Briscoe currently sits P8 in the championship table and is in desperate need of a win to progress to the Championship 4 race at Phoenix. His championship chances are huge if he can survive the Round of 8 as he got his only win of the season at Phoenix.
He is the underdog of the current grid and is the only driver other than Ross Chastain with zero cup playoff experience. He was written off by many NASCAR persons from the championship conversation and still is. The No:14 SHR Mustang driver has what it takes to prove them wrong.

Chase Briscoe said that Las Vegas has always been one of his favorite tracks and he loves going there. He pointed out that they were good on the spring race at the track and recently have been solid on the mile and a half-track. Briscoe added that he is going into Vegas with a lot of momentum on his side.
“I love going to Las Vegas. It’s always been one of my favorite tracks. We were pretty good there earlier this year, and we’ve only gotten better on the mile-and-a-half tracks, so I’m excited to get there and see how things go. This round plays more into my strengths and we’re coming into it with a lot of momentum,” Chase Briscoe said.
Chase Briscoe, they have improved on tracks such as Vegas. He had a good test last weekend at the homestead. Briscoe pointed out that though they haven’t been good at Martinsville their recent short track form alludes that they can be the contenders in the 2 Round of 8 race.
“We’ve gotten so much better at places like Las Vegas and we had a really good test at Homestead a few weeks ago. Martinsville isn’t a place where I’ve been great in the past but we’ve been really good on the flat, short tracks, so I think we’d be OK if we had to race our way in there,” Chase Briscoe added.
Chase Briscoe said that he loves being the underdog as it exerts very limited pressure on your shoulders. He added the No:14 crew knows what they are capable of and the outsider’s opinions on their capabilities do not matter.
“I enjoy being the underdog and handle it much better when people do doubt us. I know we’re capable, our team knows we’re capable and it doesn’t matter what other people think. I like not having that pressure, so that’s fine if it continues,” says Chase Briscoe.
Chase Briscoe said that he is ready to make his way to the championship four race at Phoenix. He said, “We’re going to show up each race and do what we need to do. Even if we’re down, we’re not out and we’ve shown that these last few weeks, so we’ll keep it up, and make our way to Phoenix,”.
