Connor Zilisch is one of the most promising racing talents that has recently come out of USA. The 17 years old, who has just one NASCAR Truck Race under his belt is considered by many to become the next-big star of the sport. That’s why. Despite having immense number talents in their garage, Trackhouse Racing signed him as a development driver ahead of 2024 season.

Zilisch is currently racing in IMSA LMP2 championship and leading it after winning the first two races of the season. He made his NASCAR Truck debut with Spire Motorsports last week at COTA and secure the pole, and later finish the race at P4. This has caught the attention of NASCAR Hall of famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. who believes the youngster is on the path to win multiple Cup titles in the future.

Connor Zilisch comes in, sets a new track record, right? Qualifies on the pole well clear of the rest of the field. … He’s doing it all and what he’s 17 still? So, it’s insane. This kid has the runway to become a multi-time NASCAR Cup champion. The runway is right there in front of him. Not many people are getting all of this experience at this age, right? If everything goes well and he keeps his head on straight, massive success and potential ahead.

The two times Xfinity Series champion was impressed by his Truck race pole lap which was better than that of Kyle Larson in the second-tier race. Junior will have the opportunity to have a closer look at Zilisch as he would be racing in the Xfinity Series for JR Motorsports this season. At the moment sky is the limit for the youngster if he is ready to work hard.

Road Courses races has been the bread and butter for Connor Zilisch for many years as he has been growing up around those and this made few questions his ability in oval tracks. Junior has reminded them that Zilisch has good oval experience and with the JR Motorsports cars, he can produce wonders when he gets to race in an oval in Xfinity Series.

When he kind of gets thrown into the muck of an Xfinity race at Dover, right? Right? Then it’s going to normalize a little bit, but dude could come out there and kick everybody’s ass. I think he’ll be in good stuff. I mentioned it, he’s going to drive our stuff this year.

Dale Jr. wasn’t the first nor will he be the last to praise an upcoming talent with such prowess of Connor Zilisch. He has earned the respect and has proven he has the credibility, but his NASCAR journey hasn’t even started yet. The youngster has a long way to go to accomplish the goals that has been set for him.
