Dale Earnhardt Jr. mourns the death of NASCAR legends Bobby and Terry Labonte’s father

The NASCAR world was shocked by the announcement of the death of Bobby and Terry Labonte‘s father Bob Labonte. The motorsport legend was a person to be remembered on and off the track. He was even revered amongst his rivals. Subsequently, Dale Earnhardt Jr. joined in to pay tribute to the late legend.

Bob Labonte’s career was one of the most lustrous in NASCAR Cup series history. He was a father before everything and helped his sons learn the importance of values and sportsmanship. Moreover, with his guidance, Bobby Labonte and Terry Labonte were able to forge their paths into the NASCAR Hall of Fame. With such achievements behind his back, athletes and drivers poured in to share their condolences with the Labonte family.

The patriarch of the Labonte bloodline was essential in helping his kids learn important values to stay in motorsports, who subsequently went on to claim three Cup series titles collectively. Such prestigious awards associated with the Labonte bloodline are because of his learnings that transversed their way to his kids. Dale Earnhardt Jr. mentioned this in his post and paid tribute to Labonte.

Knowing the two quality individuals that Bobby and Terry are, speaks to the father they had that raised them to be incredibly good people.

Richard Petty joined in to share his condolences with the Labonte family

The seven-time Cup champion had raced with the blood of Labonte’s bloodline and was a close friend to Terry Labonte. With the unfortunate news of the demise of Bob Labonte, Richard Petty also joined in to pay condolences to the Labonte family.

Richard Petty and The Petty Family is deeply saddened by the loss of Bob Labonte. He was instrumental in shaping the careers of his sons, Terry and Bobby, and his contributions to the sport won’t be forgotten. The Labonte Family is in our thoughts and prayers.
