Dale Earnhardt Jr. reveals what restrains him from acquiring a cup charter

Dale Earnhardt Jr. has put on hold his plans to upgrade his Xfinity outfit, Junior Motorsports, to a Cup team. The semi-retired driver has been vocal about the constraints that are barring him from acquiring a charter to drive.
Dale Earnhardt’s son who is widely appreciated for nurturing young NASCAR talent in the Xfinity series had to pull a break to his cup plans due to finances. Dale Jr. might not enter the cup series anytime soon as the inflated demand for charters blocks his way.
The two times cup champion in the recent episode of his podcast “The Dale Jr. Download” has opened up about why he is reluctant to buy a charter in the cup. As you expected, the decision had to do with the money having a cup charter generates.

Dale Earnhardt Jr said that JRM has been in talks with many cup teams reading here entry. He pointed out that a lot of future owners are worried about the cost and profit that the charters generate. He is also in the market enquiring about the supply of charters.
“One of the things that were interesting for me so I’m a potential owner in the cup series. Junior Motorsports could be a future owner in the series, and we are actively out here like a lot of other new owners that are talking to these teams about what these Charters are worth. Who’s willing to sell one how do we how do we become an owner?” Dale Earnhardt Jr. said.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. pointed out that when the Race Teams Alliance speak out on the broken economic system it made him reconsider his decision. He said that RTA is suggesting that the system is just a losing proposition.
“So, when I heard what I heard from the RTA made me go I need to wait and pause. RTA is telling me whether this Charter that I want to buy is a losing proposition or not money makes it broken,” Dale Earnhardt Jr. added.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. said he doesn’t want to have something that isn’t a successful business venture. He added that the teams aren’t making any money out of the racing and are losing their investment in the charter.
“I don’t want to buy this Charter now because it’s not a successful business venture…they basically said they can’t make any money they’re all losing money they said they said they’re losing money they’re not making money,” Dale Earnhardt Jr. explained.
