Dale Earnhardt Jr. is “less enthusiastic” about NASCAR’s plan to race outside of the US for this reason

NASCAR Cup Series is the premier Stock Car racing series in the world. The organization has been racing exclusively on US tracks over the years. Xfinity and Truck series races were held outside the US in the past. They ran in Mexico and Canada. NASCAR is yet to keep a race outside North America.
NASCAR is reportedly all set to go international. It is planning to organize races outside of the USA by 2024. The success of the NASCAR Euro series might prompt the organization to hold races on classic European tracks. But going there will be a vast logistics management nightmare for them.
SBJ Motorsports Journalist Adam Stern shared the reports of NASCAR’s plan to go abroad. Fans on Twitter had a mixed reaction to it. Semi-retired NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. joined the conversation and offered his perspective. He said he would be less enthusiastic to see such races in non-oval tracks. He suggested that Brands Hatch Indy Circuit is a suitable road course track.
“I like this, but if it’s not an oval (and my guess is it will be that or another LA coliseum creation), I’ll be less enthusiastic. One road course I think would be quite badass though, is Brands Hatch Indy Circuit. It’s a short road course that would provide some fireworks,” Dale Earnhardt Jr. Tweeted.

How NASCAR Twitter reacted to Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s comments
NASCAR twitter had a positive reaction to Dale Jr’s suggestion. Some fans pointed out that they wished to see NASCAR racing on iconic tracks such as Silverstone in the UK or Suzuka in Japan, but some were less interested in the proposed idea of more Road Course racing.
The organization’s plan to go abroad is a step in the right direction. With NASCAR climbing back to its peak fame, it’s the right step. The traditional fans might not enjoy adding another road Course to the mix. So, the best thing for NASCAR to do is organize a race in an oval abroad or introduce an additional oval race back in the states.
