Former NASCAR and IndyCar driver Danica Patrick came under scrutiny of social media for attending a conservative conference. The controversial Turning Point USA event she went to in December 2023. It was organized by conservative host Charlie Kick and Patrick shared images from the event on her social media.
She remained silent for long about the backlash her posts received over the action. But recently while speaking to YouTuber Isabel Brown, she has broken the silence and has detailed her opinion on it. Danica Patrick also discussed multiple topics alongside her political affiliations in the interview as well.
Patrick pointed out that she was surprised about the level of negative response she got over her political beliefs. She questioned the intention of the people who criticized her over keeping a conservative view of things and questioned why her voice was being silenced or canceled.
For sure surprised, it doesn’t seem like these beliefs whether they are two genders or I love America should be really not clear to people we just live in a weird time where any real kind of conservative belief system is you can’t even talk about it like you can’t even be proud of those things anymore, you could only be proud if you believe in more progressive, alternative ways of living or believing in things…why is it that anyone who has a conservative or I would say rational perspective on things are being canceled or quieted’Patrick told Isabel Brown.

Patrick via an Instagram story has detailed her political belief. She has pointed out that she is not a liberal and has confirmed that she is more inclined towards the conservative ideology, she has also highlighted her support of free speech in the post as well.
I am not a liberal…somewhere between Republican and independent…I believe we should be able to speak freely.Patrick wrote on Instagram.
Over the years Danica Patrick has been in the spotlight over many controversies. But this is the first time she has found herself embedded in such political controversy. It would be interesting to see whether she would become a fully involved political activist or politician in the coming future.
