Denny Hamlin claims he ‘has more fans than ever’ after embracing NASCAR heel persona

The 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season saw a new version of Denny Hamlin. The Joe Gibbs Racing veteran embraced his role as one of the most disliked drivers on the grid. He used it wisely to market himself and the sport for the better. Hamlin was able to make headlines every week with his on and off-track antics, which either got him more fans or made his haters lauder.
One of the major factors behind the change was his new podcast under Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s Dirty Mo Media production house. The Action Detrimental Podcast allowed him to share his opinions about the sport every week. His run-ins with Kyle Larson on the track and some of his words on the mic entertained some fans, while some were frustrated by it.
In his recent appearance in the Dale Jr. Download podcast, Hamlin came forth claiming that he now has more fans than he ever had and the uproar is because he is opinionated. He also admitted that his antics have made his haters louder than they have ever been.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. claims fans got the opportunity to know Denny Hamlin better win the show
Dale Jr., who hosted the podcast, gave his opinion on how the show has changed the perspective fans had on Hamlin. He claimed that fans got to understand Hamlin better with the podcast after he put himself out to them.
I think people have gotten to know you better through the show. You can’t help but learn who somebody really is when they put themselves out there like that.
Hamlin on the same podcast had also claimed that the sponsors had found a new interest in him. He pointed out that the brands that came in for a short period have now shown more interest in extending their deal with him.
