Joe Gibbs Racing driver Denny Hamlin secured his 50th win in the NASCAR Cup Series at Pocono Raceway. This is his second trophy of the 2023 season, which came in Sunday’s HighPoint.com 400. However, it was a dramatic race as Hamlin bumped the Hendrick Motorsports driver Kyle Larson in the last seven laps. There was caution due to Ryan Preece’s spin on the track on the final lap, and the race ended under these circumstances.
While Denny Hamlin celebrated his career milestone, the crowd was displeased and booed him. Fans were unhappy as his winning move pushed Kyle Larson’s No.5 Chevy into the wall. The Hendrick Motorsports driver finished the race 20th. Denny Hamlin set the record for most victories at the track. It was his seventh win, and he made sure to celebrate it.
