Admittedly one of the most polarizing figures in the sport, Hamlin’s cool demeanor remains unscathed. He stunned the NASCAR fandom with the unique-looking outfit inspired by his 23XI Racing’s co-owner, basketball icon Michael Jordan. 

Hamlin took center stage at Travis Scott’s recent Charlotte concert, wearing a black race suit adorned with a prominent yellow Jumpman brand. The sartorial choice is inspired by Michael Jordan’s radiated style, with matching Air Jordan 1 high ‘Yellow Ochre’ shoes. It wasn’t just a fashion statement; it was a nod to Hamlin’s off-track camaraderie with the legendary Jordan.

The concert was hosted at the Spectrum Center. Teezo Touchdown will kick off the evening as the opening act. The tour spans North America until December 29, 2023, hitting major cities like Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Oakland, Seattle, Austin, Detroit, Brooklyn, and Toronto. Notably, $2 from each ticket sale contributes to the Cactus Jack Foundation, supporting Houston’s youth through toy drives and educational initiatives.

Social media erupted in approval as fans declared Hamlin, “This is why Denny is the undisputed GOAT” and hailed his concert ensemble as the “fire suit,” claiming that the JGR driver has ‘drip.’ The Twitterati were elated to see the #11 driver go with the crowd’s suggestions.

Fans let his fans choose the outfit for the concert

Ahead of the concert, Hamlin teased followers with a video showcasing different outfit options, captioned, “Travis concert tonight. Choose the fit.” He was in his wardrobe with his marvelous sneaker collection behind him and swapped with different outfits to pick from. The final choice, the Jordan-themed race suit, emerged as the crowd favorite.

Admitting to a tinge of envy earlier in the season, Hamlin openly embraced his inner fanboy, capturing snapshots of his driver Tyler Reddick’s slick Jordan-sponsored suit.
