Ex-F1 racers Daniil Kvyat and Kamui Kobayashi set make NASCAR return at COTA
The two former F1 drivers are set to make a return in the NASCAR Series.

Ex-F1 racers Daniil Kvyat and Kamui Kobayashi will be racing at COTA this season in the different ladders of NASCAR. Both current WRC stars will mark their return to the stock car racing world. This has created large-scale excitement among fans of the different genres about how these pilots would perform in the American series.
Daniil Kvyat is a Russian driver with more than a century of starts in F1 accredited to his name. On the other hand, Kamui Kobayashi is a Japanese driver known for his podium at his home race 2012 in the Sauber. However, the driver pairing won’t run in the same series overall when racing at the Circuit of the Americas.

The 29-year-old would drive in the Xfinity Series (a step below the pinnacle) with SS Green Light Racing. While the Japanese driver would aim to make the most out of the weekend in the series pinnacle, the Cup Series with 23XI Racing.
Moreover, both drivers have had the experience of driving NASCAR, with Kvyat making his debut back in 2022 at Indy. Despite this, both the drivers would be the epicenter of attraction at COTA this year and would be hoping to claim the top spots in their respective series.
Daniil Kvyat is excited on his return to NASCAR
The Russian driver since leaving F1 has tried his hands at various classes of motorsport around the world. Subsequently, Kvyat was also a Le Mans driver in the LMP2 section last year. However, the 29-year-old seems excited about his return to the series and would like to leave an imprint of his driving on the tarmac after the race. When asked about his reaction to returning to NASCAR, Kvyat said:

I’m excited to get back into NASCAR. I had a lot of fun in my previous races. The competition style is very different from F1 and World Endurance. I’m especially looking forward to my race at COTA. I’ve been there with F1, so it will be interesting to experience the track in a Camaro.Daniil Kvyat said as reported by motorsport.com.
The Russian elaborated that he is excited to get back into the stock car racing scene yet again. Moreover, Kvyat explained that he had a lot of fun over his previous races. Although they were not great in terms of the results but was deemed as a learning experience for the Russian.
However, this time Kvyat would be driving the No.7 Chevy this year, unlike his previous driving instances with the Toyotas. Moreover, the 29-year-old seems ready to take on the action at COTA this year and would be the one to look out for on the Xfinity field.
