“Asking Fox for quality control is too much. They s**k so bad”- Fans enraged as FS1 makes NASCAR broadcast blunder, calls JJ Yeley F1 champion
The JJ Yeley 2009 F1 World Champion graphics has become a viral meme in the NASCAR community.

JJ Yeley
The 2023 season NASCAR podcast has been plagued with fans’ complaints against official broadcaster Fox. Now the broadcasting giants how found themselves in yet another mess. During the Cup race practice broadcast on FS1, the show’s producers made a blunder after they failed to proofread the graphics of the drivers.
The graphics of JJ Yeley in Rick Ware Racing No:15 car had the 2009 F1 World Champion written under it. The mistake might have occurred because they used the same graphics from the COTA Cup. The first road course race of 2023 saw the NASCAR debut of the actual 20009 F1 World Champion, Jenson Button, in the No:15 RWR. The graphics team at FS forgot to remove the World Champion part while changing the name, and surprisingly, it got into the live broadcast.
The channel has been facing the wrath of fans, more so in 2023 since the season opener Daytona 500. There is this spreading theory among fans that Fox has increased the time given to advertisements significantly. While the data shows there are no major changes, indeed, fans are not pleased with them missing out on vital race moments or crashes due to breaks.
Though Yeley never receded or came close to racing in the Premier Open Wheel racing series, Formula 1, he has had a two-year stint with their American cousins, the IndyCar series. He had two part-time seasons in the series in 1998 and 2000. In his debut season, he raced for Sinden Racing Services and scored his Indy career-best finish of P9. In 2000 he raced for Byrd-McCormack Racing. From 8 starts in two years, he has one top 10 and 3 top 20 finishes.
