23XI Racing driver Bubba Wallace had an eventful day at North Wilkesboro Speedway. He finished P2 in the All-Star race that marked the return of the iconic short track to the Cup series. The TRD driver was the best of the rest as he, alongside his fellow competitors, failed to match the dominant run of Kyle Larson.

Bubba Wallace was welcomed to the track with boos by a small group of fans in patience. It’s not the first time the No:23 driver has raced before such hostile fans, as he is one of the most divisive drivers in the Cup garage. During his driver’s intro before the All-Star race, Wallace mocked the fans by showing meme-worthy gestures.

He entered the stage alongside his No:23 crew and showed the gesture of booing. Wallace then proceeded to show the crying gesture as well. He was booed during his Truck Race intro on Saturday as well. He finished the Truck race at p5 with TRICON Garage. When asked about how he feels about the fan’s reaction, he said that he ignores them and it doesn’t affect him.

“It’s sports, and it’s going to be there every week…As long as you continue to live your life judging a book by its cover, that’s who you are. Don’t change it up for anybody else. That’s the biggest thing. That’s fine. I mean, I finished fifth, and I got a good payday. I’m good,” Bubba Wallace said.

Fans had a mixed reaction, as always, to the two times Cup race winner’s gestures. Few pointed out that Wallace showed a great attitude and that it was the right thing to do. They also praised him for the comic gestures. Meanwhile, few fans weren’t impressed by his moves.
