Hailie Deegan, the No.13 Ford F-150 ThorSport Racing driver, and the No.5 Toyota Tundra Tricon Garage driver Dean Thompson have been the talk of the town after the Craftsman Truck Series race at Richmond Raceway. It is safe to say that the pair have not had the best season. Deegan and Thompson made contact on the track during the Worldwide Express 250 on Saturday. As a result, the latter spun out on Lap 111.
After the spin, Dean Thompson struggled and finished 25th. On the other hand, Hailie Deegan tried to secure points but finished 15th. After the race, the Tricon Garage driver found Deegan on the pit road and confronted her about the incident. It looked like both drivers got into a serious discussion about what happened on the track. However, this is not the first incident between the two this season.
There is no doubt that Thompson was frustrated and expressed his anger toward Deegan due to the on-track incident. After all, both drivers wanted to win the race to qualify for the Truck Series playoffs. It was their one opportunity, and the collision cost them a spot in the playoffs.
