NASCAR recently announced its official licensed video game titled NASCAR Arcade Rush. Motorsports enthusiasts have been waiting for a stock car racing video game for quite a long time, and now the wait is over. GameMill Entertainment is set to release the game later this year. NASCAR Arcade Rush does not focus only on adults but sports fans in general. This would mean children also can play this light-hearted fun racing game.
NASCAR shared this news and the game trailer on their social media accounts. They tweeted, “NASCAR Arcade Rush is coming at you full speed with iconic tracks and wild twists on September 15.” It will be available on various platforms like Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 4 and 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC. This game is a much anticipated one and has unique features.
NASCAR Arcade Rush will include modified iconic tracks to enhance the gaming experience. It has several modes like Career, Quick, Race, and Time Attack. Another appealing aspect of the game is that it allows the players to customize their cars just how they like them. The players can run the cars with special livery and explore the track. The jumps and nitro boosts are among the other features.
Here is how the fans reacted to the NASCAR Arcade Rush trailer
The fans had a mixed reaction to NASCAR Arcade Rush. One fan commented, “Looks like Daytona USA meets Wreckfest.” They referred to the Wreckfest video game, which focuses on racing and destroying opponents. It is considered one of the most chaotic games, as even a regular race will shift into chaos due to the course design. “NOBODY asked for this, bro,” and “This is the most unlicensed an official NASCAR game has ever looked at” were two comments. Some fans questioned the graphics, and others defended it by saying it looked fun.
One user compared it to the racing game Ignition and said, “Say what you want about this, but it’s still going to be 100X better than Ignition.” Another fan had a positive take and applauded it for being an easy arcade game. The comment read, “This is a fun, easy arcade racer for kids to play. Has NASCAR’s name on it and hopefully catches some of their eyes. While we DO need a proper NASCAR game, this stuff helps bring in some younger fans.” Take a look at other reactions below.
Some of the key features of the NASCAR Arcade Rush include tracks like Talladega Superspeedway, Daytona International Speedway, Martinsville Speedway, and others. There are options to choose from an array of vehicles and customize the driver and the car. The game includes a single-player mode and multiplayer modes. NASCAR Arcade Rush is available for preorder at $49.99. The game also includes a digital exclusive “NASCAR Project-X Bundle” as an add-on for $59.99.
