The 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season has been tough on rookie Noah Gregson. His team, LEGACY MOTOR CLUB, hasn’t been able to provide him with a car competitive enough to run in the top 10s consistently. The lack of pace and the increased competition in the Cup compared Xfinity series has made his debut season tougher.

While he hasn’t been able to make a mark in racing on the track, Gragson has already established himself as unique character fans could look up to. The different paint schemes he has used this season have also been eye catchy. The 2022 Xfinity Series runner-up has raced the bar for paint schemes with his bacon race stripe design for Chicago Street Race.

Wendy’s, one of the prominent restaurant chains in the US, is the primary sponsor for the No:42 car in the inaugural street course event. The LEGACY MC has unveiled the design for the No:42 Chevy Camaro ZL1. It’s a design with the color back as the base. The car’s hood features Wendy’s logo, and two bacon stripes run from front to rear instead of race stripes. It’s nicknamed the ” Baconator”.

“At the Daytona 500, I drove ‘The BEEF,’ at Talladega, I was behind the wheel of ‘The BIGGIE,’ and I can’t wait to rep ‘The Baconator’ this weekend as my team, and I try to bring home the bacon…literally. I’ve had so much fun with Wendy’s this year, from starting a little beef at Daytona to going biggie at Talladega, and I can’t wait to continue to show up for fans in Chicago this weekend,” said Gragson.

In response to Gragson’s Wendy’s scheme, NASCAR fans on Twitter came up with some hilarious puns and jokes. Some fans mocked the driver for a poor start to the season he had with Jimmie Johnson’s team. While Gragson has proved his worth off the track, he needs to do the same on the track and show the fans he can have solid races despite having slow cars.
