Dale Earnhardt Jr. is now a semi-retired NASCAR driver who currently participates part-time in the Xfinity Series driving the No.88 Chevrolet Camaro for JR Motorsports, a team which he also co-owns will be this weekend’s guest analyst during the Geico 500 at the Talladega Superspeedway.

He is also a NASCAR analyst for NBC and when NBC announced that he would be the guest analyst for this week’s Geico 500 left him ecstatic as he would love to return to the track which he once dominated winning 6 races out of his 26 career Cup Series wins at the Talladega Superspeedway.

“NBC really is the ones that thought; they’re absolutely supporting this,” said Dale Earnhardt Jr.

It’s no doubt that NBC wants someone who knows the race and track so well and who would it be other than Dale Earnhardt Jr. himself? He also added saying that he never thought it would happen and NBC is actually being supportive and if it’s not happening now, it doesn’t mean that it won’t in the future.

“None of that ever happened but not to say it won’t in the future. But NBC really is the ones that thought; they’re absolutely supporting this,” added Dale Earnhardt Jr.

He finally concluded by saying that Fox Sports has a lot of momentum and that they are working together to do everything the right way with NBC to take NASCAR to unfathomable places.

“Fox has a lot of momentum and we’re just trying to do everything we can to be a great partner because, honestly, when you look at it, Fox and NBC are partners trying to raise NASCAR to new heights,” concluded Dale Earnhardt Jr.
