Larson HMS teammate Alex Bowman was in a scary accident last week in the 2021 Champion sprint championship race. His car flipped multiple times in the air after clipping his rival while entering a corner. He was taken to the local hospital for medical care and was later shifted to a hospital in Charlotte, where he resides.

The No:48 Chevy Camaro ZL1 driver fractured his vertebrae and is expected to miss at least three races in the Cup series. He missed the last weekend’s event at Dover Motor Speedway. Josh Berry was the substitute driver. He will continue to drive the No:48 till Bowman’s return. Berry was the substitute driver for Chase Elliott during his six-race hiatus due to an injury.
