The Food City 500 was a chaotic race that saw extreme tire fall of deciding results. Toyota giants Joe Gibbs Racing had the best cars and drivers making the best decision made on the day. No:11 Camry of Denny Hamlin secured the victory after he masterfully overcame the challenging charge from teammate Martin Truex Jr. in the last laps of the race. The Legacy MC Toyota’s were fast as well on Sunday.
At the same time TRD team 23XI Racing had a disappointing day. They finished the outside the top-25 with Bubba Wallace securing P29 and Tyler Reddick scoring P30. The issues with tire management and the car set-up was the reason for their struggle. 23XI was seemingly disanointed how the race turned out comparing their fellow TRD drivers.

The No:23 Toyota Camry driver had a disappointing day from the start and trhe chaos made his cuss at his spotter Freddie Kraft on lap one. Wallace asked Kraft to shut the f**k up after bombarding him with information. He revealed this during the Door Bumper Clear Podcast where he is the co-host. 23XI’s Reddick was the guest on the show.
He was tired of me talking because we really we were we were holding on to a lane. I don't know if I thought a time went down, but I think you just got into the marbles and I was like I could pit if you need to but we got to go there's like ten laps going the first stage. I said don't pit if you don't have to like stay out because if you you're only gonna lose a lot like if you just maintain…But like I'm like running through all the scenarios, and he's like please just shut the f**k up I was like copy that shutting the f**k up.Kraft said via DBC podcast.
Bubba Wallace had another hilarious moment during the race at Bristol
The extreme tire wear meant drivers were pitting during short interval at the track. NASCAR and good year didn’t expect such extreme fall of and didn’t came prepared to the event. They didn’t have enough tires to give to the teams towards the end of the race.

Bubba Wallace during the race was told the same by his crew chief Bootie Baker. He had a hilarious reply to it. He asked NASCAR to Red flag the race and host the event on Monday after collecting enough tires.
They’ve got what, three and a half hours to load up a trailer and get it up here? They could just red flag it and run it tomorrow.Bubba Wallace said.
Wallace now has to shift his focus to next-weeks race at COTA, where he most probably won’t contender for the win. But he has to work on securing the best finish possible in the first Road course race of the 2024 season.
