Frankie Muniz, a full-time driver in the ARCA Menards Series for Rette Jones Racing, suffered a hard hit during the Menards 250 at Elko Speedway. Muniz, an actor turned driver, is best known for his role in the Fox sitcom Malcolm in the Middle. He is also known for his roles in Agent Cody Banks, Big Fat Liar, Racing Stripes, and Deuces Wild. 

Previously, Frankie Muniz competed in the Formula BMW USA Championship and the ChampCar Atlantic Championship. He has multiple top-10 finishes in Toyota Pro / Celebrity Race events. Muniz now drives the No.30 Ford for Rette Jones Racing. Once the lights went out on Saturday for the Menards 250, Muniz was in fifth place after 15 laps. Despite plenty of cautions, Muniz shuffled between fifth and sixth place during the race.

Frankie Muniz hit the wall after getting tagged by a competitor during the race. Caution was out, and their night came to an end. It was unfortunate for his team as they were battling in the top 5. The race would have helped Muniz close the gap with Jesse Love in the championship standings. The Venturini Motorsports driver, Jesse Love, won the race. He extended his lead by 40 points over Muniz by capitalizing on his wreck.

 After the unfortunate incident, Frankie Muniz made a statement. He updated the fans about his condition. He tweeted, “I’m okay after that big crash. A bit sore. Really frustrated because we were battling all races in the top 5. I still know I have a lot to learn, but I know I belong out there in a race car. I’m no where near my peak. Thanks to my team Rette Jones for all their hard work.”

Muniz added, “Can’t wait to get home to my family tomorrow morning, I know that’ll help make me feel better! Thank you to everyone who has supported me so far on this journey of fulfilling my dream.” His message was an emotional one. There is no doubt he would need plenty of rest. The 37-year-old also took the opportunity to thank his sponsors, ReSkills, HairClub, Ford Performance, and The Hot Chick Restaurant in Arizona. 

Frankie Muniz is on the hunt for the ARCA Menards championship. Having accomplished a solid career in Hollywood, he now wants to win races and titles. Muniz earned plenty of top-ten finishes this season. He claimed it was important for the team. It is a part of their game plan, but they want to finish higher up and make it into top fives. The ultimate goal is to win races.
