Brad Keselowski who drives the No.6 Ford Mustang for RFK Racing as a full-time NASCAR Cup Series driver had high hopes and was really anticipating a good run at the remarkable Coca-Cola 600 with his Mustang being pretty impressive in the previous races but his race came to an end leaving him out of it after a devastating turn of events at the end of Stage 2.

Brad Keselowski was really looking forward to the renowned 600 miles race being the longest in the history of the sport and it was also the deadliest with many crashes leaving just below 20 out of 37 racers finishing it, he got caught up in a huge pileup getting collected by Ryan Blaney and Kurt Busch leaving extensive damage to his car which took him back to his garage.

This year’s Coca-Cola 600 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway was also the lengthiest ever race with an elapsed time of over 5 hours and also had 18 cautions leaving multiple cars destroyed and off the track with Keselowski being one of them. On account of the Memorial Day Weekend at Charlotte, Brad Keselowski honored U.S Army Specialist Bert Edward Hoyer who was killed in action in Iraq.

“Something happened where Blaney got turned and I saw it and checked up and got wiped out from behind, I hate it for everybody at RFK,” said Brad Keselowski.

He further added by saying that they were struggling with the car until the race before this and he concluded by saying that just as they started their good run, they ended up crashing and he just wishes for some time off from bad finishes.

“We unloaded and weren’t very good and we finally got the car good the run before this. We were driving forward and making passes and we’re almost into the top 10 and then get wrecked. We just can’t seem to catch a break,” concluded Brad Keselowski.

His RFK Racing teammate, the No.17 Ford Mustang’s driver Chris Buescher who stands 21st in the points table met with a similar fate with over 50 laps to go for the end of the lengthiest Coca-Cola 600 in history as he too got involved in a deadly crash with Daniel Suarez and Buescher toppled 4 times before landing on his roof on the grass and fortunately, everybody involved in the crashes walked out unharmed.

With Brad Keselowski standing 30th in the Cup Series standings, it’s uncertain to say if he’ll make it to the playoffs unless a miracle happens.
