Daniel Hemric who races the No.16 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for Kaulig Racing part-time in the Cup Series whereas he contends full-time in the Xfinity Series driving the No.11 Chevrolet Camaro has ended his Geico 500 run pretty bad with a crash in the initial stage of the race.

Daniel Hemric has appeared thrice in the Cup Series so far with one top 10 and a top 15 and a P22 with his fourth outing being a devastating one for the 31-year-old as he struggled to figure out what was wrong with his race machine and within no time which led to a pile-up pulling Austin Dillon and Chase Briscoe who sustained most of the damage.

Daniel Hemric was unambiguously riding on the inside trying to push and get ahead as he was facing issues with his engine temperature since the beginning and he was successful at getting on the bottom to get cool air into the engine bay. He then heard a change in the engine beating and by the time he could apprehend what was going on, he ended up blowing a cylinder and the engine and sideswiped the No.3 Austin Dillon leaving Hemric trying to control from thereafter.

“We were up there, pushing and getting a little more aggressive, flirting with temperatures the whole run. I tried to make a valid effort to get clean air into the motor,” said Daniel Hemric.

“I had a tone change in the engine, then I lost a cylinder and the engine blew up. To slow down at such a rapid pace, the No.3 (Austin Dillon) got into me and I was just trying to catch it from there on,” added Daniel Hemric.

He further added saying that he is disgusted that it had happened he was disheartened and said that it wasn’t how he wanted the race to go and concluded by saying that these NextGen cars are extremely susceptive to change and that he is extremely delighted to know that everyone is fine.

“I hate it for everybody who got caught up in that, I’m disappointed for sure, just not the way you want it to go. These cars in general are very, very sensitive. I’m glad everyone is OK,” concluded Daniel Hemric.
