NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon has won multiple races and has a plethora of achievements including four Cup Series Championship wins and a massive 93 victories in all of his career. The last time he raced for NASCAR was in 2016.
He ran his first-ever race as a full-time contender in 1993 and failed to steal a victory but finished as the runner up few times. Jeff Gordon was never to be seen again as he skyrocketed for the next 14 seasons and achieved most of his wins during that time.
Jeff Gordon retired in 2015 and later worked as an analyst for Fox Sports and recently gave up the position of an analyst and joined HMS as their Vice-Chairman. He is getting ready to take up the role of Mr. Rick Hendrick as the full-time chairman.
“As far as competing, I don’t know,” said Jeff Gordon when asked about racing again
Jeff Gordon recently appeared on SiriusXM and has hinted that he might be getting behind the wheel of a car again and said that he isn’t sure about competing but he might be doing some simulator work for the team.
“As far as competing, I don’t know, this Le Mans program looks interesting. Probably going to do a little bit of simulator work for them,” said Jeff Gordon.
He further added saying that he wants to be a part of the Hendricks Motorsports team and will be actively working on the vehicle but isn’t sure if he’ll get to race in it. He admitted that he would for sure play around with it and also try the simulator and see how it figures.
“I want to be a part of it. We are a part of it with Hendrick, but I just don’t know if I’ll be able to get behind the wheel and drive it in that race. I’m certainly going to go play around with the car when we get it. Play around with the simulator and see if it’s something that maybe is realistic,” concluded Jeff Gordon.
Ever since Jeff Gordon has said this, many fans are eager to watch him behind the wheel again.
