NASCAR Cup Series and Xfinity Series will hit the Wisconsin Track Road America for the respective series events at the track as the Chase for regular-season championship glory and playoff berth intensifies. The cup series event will host the Kwik Trip 250 presented by JOCKEY Made in America alongside the Xfinity driver’s fight for Henry 180 trophy.

Among the drivers on double duty at the track are a NASCAR veteran and one of the exceptional talents when it comes to road course races, AJ Allmendinger. The veteran drives the No:16 Chevy Camaro in the Xfinity series and also drives part-time in the Cup series in No:16 Chevy Camaro ZL1 both for the Kaulig Racing team.

The veteran who is chasing his first Xfinity Series Championship in his second full-time outing in the Xfinity series is on red hot form and if he is able to win the Road America race, he will be making history with a third consecutive road course win in Xfinity Road courses, in COTA and Portland International Raceway.

You have everything on that race track, long straightaways, and really fast corners. The carousel is incredibly fast; Turn 1 is incredibly fast. But you also have big brake zones, like into Turn 5 (and) into Canada Corner,” AJ Allmendinger said.

It’s easy to use up the tires there. It’s easy to make mistakes. But there are also a lot of passing opportunities if you get in the back of the field. I love the race track. I think Xfinity always puts on a great race. I think with the Next Gen cars, they are really going to put on a great race in the Cup race on Sunday. I’m happy that I get to be a part of both,” AJ Allmendinger added.
