‘I’m really looking forward to having some fun,’ NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr set to join Fox for the coverage of the Talladega Cup Race

NASCAR has announced that NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr will join the likes of Mike Joey and Clint Bowyer in the Fox Sports NASCAR booth for the Talladega Superspeedway Cup Series Race. The NBC NASCAR Analyst will join the Fox team on April 24 for the coverage. The announcement was made between the Food City Dirt race in Bristol.
FOX Sports President Production & Operation and Executive Producer Brad Zager welcomed Dale Earnhardt Jr to the Fox NASCAR booth suggesting there is no one more equipped to call a race at Talladega alluding to the fact that Dale Jr. has 6 Talladega wins to his NASCAR career. Brad Zager also thanked NBC Sports for allowing him to partake in the booth.
“Dale joining us in the booth says so much about his love of the sport of NASCAR, and there is absolutely no one more equipped to call a race at Talladega. We appreciate that he is willing to share his time and experience for the upcoming FOX NASCAR race from one of NASCAR’s most popular venues, and we are grateful to NBC Sports for letting Dale spend some time with us,” said Brad Zager.

Dale Earnhardt Jr said that he is looking to have fun with Mike, Clint, Larry (McReynolds), and the rest of the NASCAR Fox team. He went on to add that being part of Talladega race coverage is an incredibly fun experience as the race keeps you on your toes throughout.
“I’m really looking forward to having some fun with Mike, Clint, and Larry (McReynolds) and the rest of the team. Calling a race from Talladega is an incredibly fun experience. You absolutely have to be on your toes at all times … it doesn’t take much for all hell to break loose,” says Dale Earnhardt Jr.
