Dale Earnhardt Jr. is a semi-retired NASCAR part-time Xfinity Series contender who drives the No.88 Chevrolet Camaro for JR Motorsports, a team which he also co-owns and he is also an analyst for NASCAR at NBC, and Speedway Motorsports LLC revealed that they would host few races at the infamous North Wilkesboro Speedway.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. who has over 26 career Cup Series victories and 260 top 10s hinted at his fans that he would love to take part in the races held at this renowned track to showcase his support and love for the track before its major renovation in 2023.

“There’s Wednesday features that I’m going to try and go to,” says Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. would like to participate in the variety of races held at this historic track but since he also works with NBC, he can be able to contend on Wednesdays.

“We’re working with NBC in the booth, so I can’t go on the weekends, There’s Wednesday features that I’m going to try and go to,” said Dale Earnhardt Jr.

He further added saying that he’s been racing in this category for a long time but now that he has the time and ability to practice and to get a feel of the track.

“Everybody knows that we’ve raced in the late model stock series for a long time but I’m kind of looking for the opportunity and this seems like the perfect chance, right. I can go practice. There’s practice, qualifying in the race over a three-day period. Get a little bit of track time,” added Dale Earnhardt Jr.

He concluded by teasing his fans on Twitter saying how cool would it be if Sun Drop allowed him to compete in this event with their emblem on the car as he did it back in 1993.

“It’d be cool and I teased this on Twitter if we got the Sun Drop car, I raced the Sun Drop at North Wilkesboro in 1993. It’d be cool if Sun Drop would OK us putting their logos on the car for this event,” concluded Dale Earnhardt Jr.
