NASCAR will hit the Sonoma Raceway, the second Road Course in the NASCAR schedule this year, for the Toyota / Save Mart 350. The 1.99 miles course will offer fans a first-hand look into how well the Next-Gen cars can fare on the road races as the second road outing meant drivers have enough experience and data in order to go all out at the track.

Going into the race weekend Denny Hamlin, the No:11 Toyota Camry- Joe Gibbs Racing veteran, will be one of the major drivers to look up to considering his recent form and the back-to-back front row runs he had on the track. Denny Hamlin so far in his career had 15 starts in Sonoma but is yet to win a single race, making the track one the three tracks left in the cup where he made double figure start and having gotten a win.

Following the St. Louis cup race which ended in a big disappointment for the as he was constrained by a couple of wrecks and crashes bringing him down to P34 with 11 laps down. Hamlin will surely be looking for a redemption which can keep the incredible momentum he was able to continue until last weekend. He will also be looking for a chance at getting back at Ross Chastain for the Gateway bump runs.
