“It’s incredible. Really has me speechless,” Jeffrey Earnhardt steals pole for Talladega Xfinity race in the iconic No:3 car
Jeffrey Earnhardt
Jeffrey Earnhardt who races part-time in the Xfinity Series driving the No.3 Chevrolet Camaro for Richard Childress Racing has snatched the pole position ahead of this week’s Ag-Pro 300 at the Talladega Superspeedway. This stands as his career’s first-ever pole given that he hasn’t had a bad season so far.
Jeffrey Earnhardt will be driving the iconic No.3 car in which Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Dale Earnhardt Jr. have achieved numerous victories and he will be taking the mantle forward as he currently stands 33rd with 57 points in the Xfinity Series standings.
Following Jeffrey Earnhardt at P1 was Austin Hill at P2, Ty Gibbs at third, Sheldon Creed at fourth, and Daniel Hemric at fifth. Natalie Decker, CJ McLaughlin, and Jesse Iwuji were the only 3 to not qualify.
I’m here because I worked hard enough to be here and I deserve the opportunity,” says Jeffrey Earnhardt
Following the qualifier for the Ag-Pro 300 at Talladega and stealing the pole position left Jeffrey overwhelmed with joy and said that he always wanted to be here and it happened because he worked hard and feels that he completely deserves the opportunity.
“I’ve always wanted to try and feel like that I’m here because I worked hard enough to be here and I deserve the opportunity,” said Jeffrey Earnhardt.
He also added saying that with the last name it’s definitely easier to get sponsorships and that helps him a lot he has always dreamt of racing with the No.3 Chevy Camaro and is extremely happy with the opportunities he got during his career.
“Don’t get me wrong, the last name definitely helps to sell sponsorship. It’s been non-stop. Our goal has to be to compete at RCR in the No.3 car because it’s a dream of mine. I’ve been blessed with many opportunities throughout the years that I’ve been racing,” added Jeffrey Earnhardt.
He concluded by saying that he’ll be always thankful and that he is at a shortage of words to describe his emotions and hopes to contend in the same manner during the Ag-Pro 300 given that team RCR brings really fast cars.
“I’ll forever be thankful for every one of them because they don’t come easy, it’s incredible. Really has me speechless. Obviously, Richard brings fast cars, we were able to put it together today. Hopefully, we can do the same (Saturday),” concluded Jeffrey Earnhardt.
Given the fact that Jeffrey Earnhardt has earned his first pole, will he be able to turn it into a fortune? Stay tuned to Fox Sports and MRN for this week’s Ag-Pro 300 to find out.
