The entire sporting community was invested in the thrilling Super Bowl battle between the San Francisco 49ers and Kans City Chiefs in Las Vegas. The Chiefs, led by MVP Patrick Mahomes, pulled off a comeback after giving up the lead in the first quarter to win the game 26-22 in overtime, breaking the hearts of Brock Purdy and the team.

Among the 70,000 reported fans that went into the Allegiant stadium, there were some NASCAR legends. Four times NASCAR Cup champion and the vice chairman of Hendrick Motorsports, Jeff Gordon, was at the event supporting his favorite team, the 49ers, who haven’t won a single Super Bowl in the last 30 years.

His former rival and Fox Sports broadcaster Clint Bowyer, a long-time Cheifs fan, was also at the event. Bowyer celebrated for a second consecutive year while Gordon went back home heartbroken. Bowyer took shots at Gordon via his X post caption to an image in which he is seen with Gordan and Post Malone.

Met these random people while I was rooting for my favorite team…Chiefs, Can you believe Jeff Gordon actually thought he was going to beat us?!?!
Bowyer wrote with three laughing emojis at the end.

For a guy who’s known to be the life of the party, Clint Bowyer, Sure knows how to ruin the fun at Super Bowl for me. Good thing he has cool friends.

Both racers are in for a busy week as the 2024 NASCAR season opener, the Daytona 500, is next- Sunday. Gordon has to work on making sure his HMS drivers have the car capable of winning the event on Sunday, while Bowyer has the duty to give fans the best coverage of the event during the race week.
