Bruce Mosley, one of the main executives of the Jimmy Johnson-led NASCAR Legacy Motor Club outfit, has recently left the team. Moreover, it is not known why Mosley decided to end his ties with the team just after joining them 2 months ago. This has come as a huge shock in the NASCAR world, and given the uncertainty around the situation, questions are definitely going to get raised.
Bruce Mosley was announced as the new president of business operations of the Legacy Motor Club team on the 1st of February. He was named as part of a new executive team which included John Lewensten as senior vice president for partnership services. Another important person that was brought into the group was Joey Cohen as, the team’s vice president of racing operations.
A spokesperson of Jimmy Johnson’s LMC team was on Monday asked to shed light on Bruce Mosley’s abrupt departure from the team, and to the surprise of many, the spokesperson shied away from saying anything on the topic. He simply declined to answer the questions, by saying no comment. Before joining the LMC team, Mosley served as president of violet defense after doing a tenure of 8 years as the chief revenue officer of Rosh Fenway Racing.
Moreover, Mosley has also previously worked as an executive at the International Speedway Corporation, a former NASCAR outfit owned by Chip Ganassi, the Kroger Company’s strategic agency, and had a key role with The Marketing Arm on programs with NASCAR partnerships that included Walmart, Sunoco, and Office Depot.

Jimmy Johnson arrived at Legacy Motor Club in November of last year
While the unfortunate departure of Bruce Mosley is the latest change that has hit the Legacy Motor Club team, it is not the only significant change that the stock car racing team has gone through in recent times. There have been a plethora of personnel moves on the team under the guidance of the new team owner, Jimmie Johnson.
Jimmie Johnson made his shocking NASCAR announcement last November and sent shockwaves throughout the system. During that time, he made it known that he had entered an ownership agreement with owner Maury Gallagher and Chairman Richard Petty. It was a big move and caused a lot of uncertainty within the team.
As things stand, LMC competes full-time in the Cup Series with Erik Jones and Noah Gragson, who drives the number 43 and 42 Chevrolets for the team, respectively. Moreover, Johnson also tries his hand behind the number 84 Chevrolet on a part-time basis. Considering the abrupt departure of Mosley from LMC, do you think more changes are heading the way of the stock car racing team?
