Kurt Busch missed out on the Pocono Cup race after the concussion he suffered during after he crashed out in the qualifying round. The 23X1 Racing team replaced Kurt Busch with Ty Gibbs, the No:54 driver for JGR driving in the Xfinity series. Ty Gibbs was able to drive the No:45 Toyota Camry of Busch to a P16 finish Pocono and which suggests that it’s worth it to give him the chance to drive the car until Busch is back.

The 2004 cup champion had already secured his playoff spot after he won the Dover cup race and has been one of the most consistent Toyotas on the track this season contrary to his teammate Bubba Wallace who is fighting for that spot. There isn’t any clarity on when will Busch is making his return to the track but it’s true that he has missed some vital races in Indy and Pocono.
