NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. has made a hilarious revelation about a Super Bowl commercial featuring him that was aired this year. Menards, the house decorations retail business giant with over $13 billion in revenue year, has been a long-time sponsor of Dale Jr. and his NASCAR Xfinity Series team, JR Motorsports.

Menards recently shot a commercial that featured the NASCAR Hall of Famer and his driver, Brandon Jones. Menards is the sponsor of Jones’ No:9 Chevy Camaro, which races in the second tier of NASCAR with JRM. The five-time Xfinity race winner had Menards as his team’s primary sponsor last year, which marked his debut with the team after leaving Joe Gibbs Racing.

The commercial that featured the duo going through a Menards shop for supplies was aired on local channels in selected locations and wasn’t part of the nationally broadcasted commercials. Jones shared this via his X account with the caption, “Did you happen to miss the  Menards Super Bowl commercial? Here’s your chance to catch it!”

Dale Jr. responded to his driver’s post on X (previously Twitter), confirming that he was unaware that the advert would be aired during the Super Bowl. He wrote, “ When we filmed this, I had zero clue it was gonna run during SB (Super Bowl).” Junior ended the post with a laughing emoji.

Here is how fans reacted to the Dale Earnhardt Jr’s revelation

Fans on X had a mixed reaction to the commercial feature of the two-time Xfinity Series champion. Some joked, saying Junior would have produced an Oscar-worthy performance if he was told that it was told to him that Menards planned to air the commercial during the Super Bowl. Dale Jr. enjoyed the joke and responded with a laughing emoji.
