The 23XI Racing team, co-owned by NBA legend Michael Jordan and Joe Gibbs Racing veteran Denny Hamlin, had their best season ever in 2023. Both of their drivers made it to the Cup Series playoffs, and they secured two race wins. The team has won five top-tier races in three seasons and aims to keep growing.

The team shared their New Year resolutions via X (previously Twitter). They have listed three goals that are simple and seem achievable. The first one on the list is to continue performing at the best of their abilities next season. The second objective is to secure playoff entry for their drivers, Bubba Wallace and Tyler Reddick. The last one is to move forward together.

Going into the 2024 season, the team’s main priority is to repeat the 2023 season. Their drivers, Wallace and Reddick, made the playoffs for the first time in the team’s history. Reddick made it on the back of his impressive win at COTA, while the No:23 team made it to the playoff on points after consistent finishes in the final races.

Wallace, unfortunately, ended the year winless; hence, one of their primary objectives will be to help him win the race. The team also needs to work on their crew, especially the No:45, who had issues with every other race. Some of their mistakes cost the team significant finishes and wins.

Bubba Wallace has positive hopes for 23XI Racing

The team has big hopes going into the 2024 season, and they have to step up to live up to fans’ expectations. Wallace, who had the best season of his career in 2023, believes they will experience impressive growth with an experienced Reddick on his side.

I think moving forward, with Tyler having a year with us and figuring it all out, I think it's only going to expedite the process on where we want to be.

Another challenge for 23XI going into the 2024 season will be the addition of Legacy MC to the Toyota Racing Development umbrella. Since JGR is the undisputed No:1 team at Toyota, the fight will be among the other two to establish themselves as the second best, before closing the gap to JGR this year.
