The world woke up to a new partnership. NASCAR and Ally Financial Inc declared a league-wide sponsorship widening the brand’s existence in the sport. Ally Bank has now become NASCAR and the organization-owned track’s Official Consumer Bank. They have signed a multi-year sponsorship deal. Ally already had a foot in the sport, they have a season-long partnership with Hendrick Motorsports. Their primary focus is to bring a distinctive and appealing experience while including a generality while racing for the fans.

Ally’s chief marketing and public relations officer, Andrea Brimmer, exhibited pure enthusiasm regarding the partnership. He said“We’ve loved every minute of the ride since becoming a sponsor of the No. 48, from seeing the growth in popularity of the sport to the increased diversity among team ownership. The timing couldn’t be better for us to complement our wonderful relationship with Hendrick Motorsports by expanding our footprint as an official NASCAR sponsor.

Previously Ally sponsored Jimmie Johnson, the seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, and his No 48 team. This new partnership with NASCAR will begin on “Ally Pre-Race Tailgate” in Los Angeles at The Clash. This event will continue through the rest of the season. Ally’s main focus will be to engage the fans and provide them with a unique experience. They are said to have exciting experiential events on track. This deal is a delight to the fans as they have surprise giveaways and different programs conducted with the content just for them.

In 2024, Ally will be the presenting sponsor for the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Awards. Hence they observe and celebrate all the work done in the cultural aspect of racing. This partnership is also an advancement for society, as it will bring initiatives and work to increase the sport’s popularity among the LGBTQ community and people of color.

Brimmer had, in fact, mentioned that this partnership is all about diversifying its audience. And more than that, it is to make racing a welcoming place for all. As it is their shared goal, they want to make meaningful changes that will impact people and bring more diversity to the sport.

Daryl Wolffe, NASCAR’s Executive vice president, and Chief Revenue Officer had full praises for the work done by Ally in the sport. “Ally is positively impacting our sport through its relationship with Hendrick Motorsports, and we’re thrilled now to welcome them as the Official Consumer Bank of NASCAR. Ally’s ‘Do It Right’ ethos aligns perfectly with our values”.

He is confident their partnership will bring about innovation and necessary changes for the better in the sport.  Among the many things Ally had done for the sport, they brought back racing to Nashville, now the popular Ally 400. They paired with Alex Bowman, the No.48 for Hendrick Motorsports, and his fans, helping them raise funds for animal rescue.

Rick Hendrick, the owner of Hendrick Motorsports, the 14-time NASCAR Cup Series Champions, said it was a privilege to work with Ally for the last five years, and they are one of the admired sponsors in the sport. He is thrilled about the new partnership with NASCAR.  NASCAR will celebrate its 75th Anniversary in the sport this year. This deal couldn’t have come through at a better time. Along with Ally’s “ Do it Right” mission, the duo is all set to impact the sport positively.
