The 2023 Daytona 500 kick-started the 75th Anniversary edition of NASCAR. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. of JTGD Racing scored his maiden 500 wins, edging defending Cup champion Joey Logano in a double over time.  The 65th annual running will go down in history as the longest Daytona 500 of all time.

The sold-out crowd got the chance to meet several Hollywood A-listers and prominent athletes. NBA legend and considered the GOAT of Basketball, Michael Jordan headlined the star-spangled night. He is the co-owner of Cup series outfit 23XI Racing. He was joined by Pete Davidson, Tiffany Haddish, former NFL star Brandon Marshall, WWE’s Charlotte Flair, and actress Chase Sui.

Davidson and his new girlfriend Sui grabbed the headlines as the couple shared intimate moments while witnessing the arcing spectacle. The SNL star started dating Sui after the shoot of their latest movie, “Bodies, Bodies, Bodies.” They made the relationship official on January 19 and, since then, were spotted in multiple racing events.

The couple had an entire garage tour before the race, where they met and greeted some of the elite Cup drivers. Davidson also sat in the passenger seat on the Daytona 500 pace car. They sometimes sped on the track in their first ever NASCAR race and watched racing from the top of Richard Petty and Jimmie Johnson’s team LEGACY MOTOR CLUBs pit-box. The couple was spotted cuddling together and kissing while being in the pit box.

Sunday’s 212-lap spectacle witnessed an impressive fight between two NBA legends who are NASCAR team owners. Jordan’s three drivers lined up off 23XI Racing and lost the race to the No:47 team of Daugherty. 23Xi Racing drivers Bubba Wallace and Tyler Reddick could even finish the race as both were caught up in multi-car crashes.

23Xi Racing’s open charter entry Travis Pastrana, the action sports legend, was the highest-finishing driver. He scored a P12 finish starting the race at the back raw. The No:23 Toyota driver Bubba Wallace was one of the front runners to score a win at the track as he was runners-up twice at the Daytona 500.

Jordan will get his revenge in the remaining 35 races of the season, as he has superior human and technical resources to score multiple wins in 2023. JTGD Racing has a very limited chance of scoring any more wins this season. But still, a Daytona 500 win holds an edge over others as it’s one of the most prestigious races in Motor racing.
