The race at Bristol was overshadowed by the tire troubles faced by the teams and drivers. Drivers across the field were caught off-guard due to the unforeseen tire degradation and the presence of resin on the tarmac. However, Goodyear claimed they brought the same tire compound used last year for the race in Tennessee this year. Reigning champion Ryan Blaney has responded to this statement and dismissed their claims.
The race at Bristol was one of the most bizarre, as commented by multiple drivers after the race. Despite drivers being infuriated by the tire’s performance over a stint, Goodyear claimed to be using the same compounds as the previous year. This statement frustrated the Penske driver, Ryan Blane, who finished in a disappointing 16th after starting the race on pole on Sunday.
They (Goodyear) say they brought the same tires, but that is absolute BS. No, no. If you bring a new tire like this — they’re going to deny they brought a new tire, but obviously it’s different. You have to test it. You can’t just show up at the race track and run 500 laps with it. You have to have a tire test. That’s why we do tire tests. Or, if you don’t, this is what it ends up like.Ryan Blaney said.
The 30-year-old was convinced that Goodyear was lying with their claims of bringing the same tire compound. Moreover, Blaney stated that the tire manufacturer should have first tested how the tires worked under load. He was infuriated and enveloped with anger for the carelessness at Goodyear for the false claims. Subsequently, this has tarnished the reputation of the brand among the fans and the tire distributor would be looking to resolve this issue at the earliest.
Ryan Blaney is fed up with questions circulating about his rivalry with Ross Chastain
Blaney and Ross Chastain seem to trip over each other at every possible instance on the asphalt. Moreover, the rivalry between the two can be traced back to the championship finale when the Chevy driver gave his all to not let the eventual champion pass him.

The duo again came in each other’s way at Bristol and again Chastain was the offender here. The Trackhouse racing driver bumped his bumper twice with Blaney in a bid to pass the reigning champion. This fierce battle pushed both drivers down the field.
I’m tired of you asking me Ross[Chastain] questions. No thanks.Ryan Blaney said post-race
Post-race Blaney was asked about his antics with Chastain. However, he refused to give any answers to questions involving him and the No.1 driver and left the interview. This action spooled up conspiracies in the NASCAR field but fans would be hoping for the duo to battle out their frustration on-track and provide entertainment for the sport.
