Three times Supercars champion Shane van Gisbergen is seemingly taking no time to embrace the NASCAR racing culture. The Kiwi driver who announced his arrival to the sport by winning his Cup debut race at Chicago Streets, is on his first full-time season in NASCAR with Kaulig Racing the in Xfinity Series.

Despite the Kaulig team struggling to field competitive cars, Shane van Gisbergen has maximized all the opportunities he got with his clean racing. But that doesn’t mean he isn’t retaliating, instead he is racing his rivals the way he is raced and the same was in display this Saturday at Martinsville. He pulled off a solid bump and run while fighting for P15 on Jeb Burton.

After the race, SVG took it X to share his delight about having such an impressive day. He pointed out that, it was tough start to race for him Saturday as it was his Martinsville debut, but once he was able to understand his car and the track layout, it became easy to make move and get the Maximum out of the No:97 Chevy.

That was some of the most fun racing I’ve had! Really enjoyed Martinsville, got better & better every stage except the start of stage 3 we had a little car issue, once I learnt how to drive around it we came back through a few. The end was crazy but I had a ball!
