It seems young NASCAR driver Nick Snachez can catch a break when it comes to having feuds with veteran Truck Series drivers. The incident took place after the race on the pit-road after Stewart Friesen, who finished P22 and two laps down went to Sanchez an confront him about the wreck involving the two that put him in the situation.

With just 32 laps left in the race, Nick Sanchez and Friesen found themselves racing against each other on the track for positions. Sanchez was running the outside lane while Friesen was in the middle lane ahead of him. Coming to the corner the veteran drove closer to the outside wall and Sanchez tried to squeeze in thorough the minimal space he had, but ended of spinning the veteran out.

The No:52 Truck driver was furious with the No:2 and on the pit-road got into the face of Sanchez to confront him. He was heard asking “could have waited one f***ing corner!” indicating the youngster was impatient. Sanchez meanwhile was kept on smiling like he most often does and gave an answer that irked the veteran.

Friesen didn’t hesitate and grabbed the youngster by his neck. The crew of both drivers quickly got involved and quickly separated both of them. It was fortunate the crew chose to sperate them, as they should, instead of getting involved and escalating the situation. Sanchez getting a better finish than him might also have irked the veteran.

Here is how fans on social media reacted to the incident

Fans on X were quick to take sides on who to blame for the incident. Some sided with the veteran and pointed out that Sanchez was too impatient at the moment. They used Sanchez’s past against drivers such as Matt Krafton to give their arguments a good base. Many were in agreement to the fact that Sanchez has something that irks the veterans in his racing style.

Some sided with the NASCAR prodigy and pointed out that Friesen was the one who made the mistake that caused the incident and as the veteran of the two could’ve been wiser in starting the fight. Some also applauded Sanchez for keep smiling during the confrontation and keeping his cool.

Sanchez is one of the most promising talents on the garage and instead of getting into back-to-back incidents with the veterans he should concentrate on learning from them. At the same time the veteran racers should also restrain themselves from putting hands on kids and should advise them more on how to race clean.
