The NASCAR Xfinity Series is about to hit the fast lane on The CW Network. Starting in 2025, this deal is a game-changer, bringing all 33 races to free, over-the-air broadcast television for the first time. This middle-tier series, known for showcasing rising stars alongside racing legends, will reach a broader audience.

NASCAR Xfinity Series is a thrilling racing competition featuring the sport’s up-and-coming drivers and future stars. These young speed demons go head-to-head with the biggest names in the racing world. The series lays the ground for these drivers for their foray into the NASCAR Cup series. This draws an average of one million viewers per race each season.

The CW Network has sealed a deal worth a whopping $115 million per year and has become the exclusive home of the NASCAR Xfinity Series for the next seven years until 2031. The partnership means 48 weekends per year of live sports programming, with every Xfinity Series race aired on free, over-the-air broadcast television. Additional content will also be available on The CW’s digital platforms, taking the racing action to new heights.

Dennis Miller, the president of The CW, is all revved up about landing the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Live sports are a viewer magnet, and with The CW’s national reach, this move transforms the racing experience for fans. The Xfinity Series will join a growing sports programming lineup on The CW, including INSIDE THE NFL, ACC college football and basketball, LIV Golf, and the motorsports documentary series 100 DAYS TO INDY. “More access for fans and far more revenue opportunities,” said Miller, discussing what this partnership brings.

As for NASCAR’s broader broadcast package, the current deal with Fox Sports and NBC is set to expire at the end of 2024. This package, worth a staggering $8.2 billion, was last negotiated in 2012 and has been in effect since 2015. As the expiration date approaches, the racing world awaits the next thrilling chapter in NASCAR’s television journey.
