A noteworthy addition has been made to 23X1 Racing’s 2024 roster, which is owned by NBA superstar Michael Jordan and seasoned JGR Cup driver Denny Hamlin. Tyler Reddick, who now drives the No. 8 Chevy Camaro ZL1 for Richard Childress Racing and is generally considered as a potential superstar in the NASCAR industry, has been signed by the second Toyota team on the grid. Tyler Reddick will begin competing for the team at the start of the 2024 season.

Tyler Reddick, who won his first Cup Series race at Road America two-race weekends ago, will visit the 23X1 set up with championship aspirations. The two-time Xfinity Series champion with JR Motorsports and RCR will be aiming to improve his championship positioning after failing to do so during his two-and-a-half-year run with the RCR squad up until this point.

Soon after the sudden announcement of Tyler Reddick’s move to 23X1 Racing in 2024, RCR which is definitely unhappy with the decision released a statement on Twitter that they revealed their frustration with the announcement. RCR acknowledged in the statement that though they are proud of the success Reddick was able to get with them they are disappointed with the timing of the announcement as it came at the time, they are chasing the 2022 and 23 championships with him on the helm.

We’re proud of the success Tyler Reddick has found at Richard Childress Racing. We’re focused on winning a championship in 2022 and 2023, although the timing of this announcement could not be any worse,” RCR stated on Twitter.

Following the statement being put out by RCR fans on Twitter was quick to point the figure at Redick for his selection of timing of the announcement, as the No:8 team worked their ass out to secure the playoff spot for Reddick in this season’s playoffs and is in hard works to build on it for the coming races and their aim to secure one seat in the playoffs for his teammate Austin Dillon all which is distracted by the sudden announcement.
