“Hendrick Motorsports take some notes”- NASCAR Twitter reacts to 23XI Racing hauler paint scheme for 2023 cup season
23XI Racing hauler's used in 2022
Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin-owned 23XI Racing are getting ready for a fresh start in 2023. The second Toyota team has already established itself as a race-win contender. They are in for a championship fight this year, and their latest signing, Tyler Reddick, will boost that hope.
23XI has revealed one of the paint schemes of the hauler that will be used by either Bubba Wallace or Tyler Reddick next year. The new scheme features white honeycomb stripes alongside red stripes on a black base. Only the team logo and TRD logo is seen on the sides, and no indication of driver number or team sponsors is given.
In 2022 both Kurt Busch and Wallace had two different hauler designs. The No:23 team’s vehicle was inspired by their primary sponsor Mcdonald’s and future black and red Stripes with a white base. Busch’s on the other hand was inspired by Monster Energy and Air Jordan. It featured the big Monster logo on the side in green with a black base.:
How NASCAR Twitter reacted to the paint scheme
Fans on Twitter were delighted to see the new paint scheme and were quick to share their views, most of them pointed out that the new scheme is better than the white base Bubba used last season. A fan even advised other cup outfits like HMS to take inspiration from the scheme and make their versions better.:
Anything worse than a Playoff appearance is a failure for 23XI Racing’s next-season
2022 was the best season of the 23XI Racing cup series as they secured two race wins. Kurt Busch and Bubba Wallace helped the team to win both Kansas cup races. But the concussion that side-lined Busch denied 23X1 a well-deserved playoff appearance. Wallace’s failure to score wins in the regular season just like in 2021 prompted his elimination.
Trackhouse Racing, which had a similar start from scratch as of 23XI in 2021 helped both of their drivers secure a post-season spot. A failure to achieve that from the TRD team in 2023 will be deemed a failure. The new signing of Tyler Reddick, who is considered a NASCAR championship prodigy, will help them in the endower.
Bubba Wallace also needs to step up he had the best car of his carer in 2022 and is expected to have a similar or better one in 2023. He can silence his critics by becoming the first African American driver to secure a playoff in the cup series and potentially fight for the championship.
