Bubba Wallace
Bubba Wallace who drives the No.23 Toyota Camry for 23X1 Racing full-time in Cup Series and the No.18 Toyota Supra in the Xfinity Series for Joe Gibbs Racing has tweeted recalling a moment from his 2020 race at Talladega about his infamous garage incident.
Bubba Wallace has 1 win and 13 top 10s of his Cup Series career so far and has had an amazing race at the Daytona International Speedway stealing P2 being his season-best so far. He’s been having a hard time lately finding any wins with placing over P15 in all his outings this season.
Ahead of this week’s race at Talladega, Wallace light-heartedly tweeted saying that he has both good and bad memories growing up.
“Lots of good memories in this stall growing up… lots of bad too,” tweeted Bubba Wallace.
What fans had to say about Bubba Wallace’s tweet
Several NASCAR fans took to their Twitter handles to react to Bubba Wallace’s tweet. Bubba Wallace will be returning to the track which gave him his first Cup Series win in 2021 but what happened in the year prior to that will always remain with him. At his garage in the track was found a rope which was in the shape of a noose. An FBI investigation revealed that nothing demeaning took place.
Many fans responded to this tweet thinking of that infamous incident with mixed emotions.
