Hendrick Motorsports driver Kyle Larson has been named in the list of 75 greatest NASCAR drivers. He will be part of the new 25 drivers who will join the 50 greatest lists selected in 1998. The 2021 Cup Series champion is the first active driver to be inducted into the list and is the first of many. He joins retired cup legends Tony Stewart and Kasey Kahne on the list.

Larson is among the most deserving candidates to secure the spot on the list, as he is a generational talent. He has been one of the most consistent drivers of the sport since his debut, and he has already earned a place in the GOAT tier of dirt racing. He is arguably the most successful driver for diversity graduates.

Larson made his NASCAR debut in 2012, after progressing in the junior rank in the dirt, midget, and late model racing, with Rev acing and winning the championship that year. He also made his Truck Series debut the same year and went on to make his Xfinity and Cup debut the very next year. He was signed by Chip Ganassi Racing in 2014 and 5 full-time seasons before getting suspended by NASCAR for using a racial slur in a digital race event.

Ganassi dropped him after the unfortunate incident. Larson stayed out of NASCAR racing throughout 2020 and underwent sensitive training. Hendrick Motorsport gave him a shot at redemption as they signed him to drive the No:5 car, and he produced his best season ever by winning the championship. He won the 2021 title-winning an impressive 10 races.

He has won 20 Cup races, 13 Xfinity series races, and 2 Truck series races, and all of his top-tier wins came with Chevy. Larson also won the 2011 Belleville Midget Nationals Champion and 2012 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East Champion early in his career. He was also awarded the ESPY Driver of the Year honor in 2022.
