“That car is f*** hot off the grill”- NASCAR Twitter reacts to Noah Gragson’s Wendy’s scheme for the 2023 Daytona 500
Noah Gragson scored eight wins in the 2022 Xfinity series and is in red-hot form coming into 2023.
Noah Gragson's No:43 Chevy for Daytona 500
Noah Gragson will make his NASCAR Cup Series debut at Daytona 500 with the No:42 LEGACY MOTOR CLUB Chevy Camaro ZL1 team. The 2022 Xfinity series runners-up will Chase his maiden Cup win at the Daytona International Speedway. He is one of the potential contenders for the Rookie of the season honors alongside Joe Gibbs Racing’s Ty Gibbs. The duo will be hoping to replicate the dream run Austin Cindric had last year.
LEGACY M.C. has revealed the team’s primary sponsor and paint scheme for Daytona 500. Fast food restaurant chain Wendy’s will feature in the Crown Jewel event. The team was Gregson’s primary partner in the 2022 Geico 500 at Talladega. The Red and Blue based car features the Wendy’s Mascot wearing an old racing helmet on the side.
“This is a great partnership for LEGACY MOTOR CLUB, Wendy’s, Noah Gragson, and fans of NASCAR. The DAYTONA 500 is the sport’s biggest stage, so it’s a perfect place to show off the best in beef. I’m excited to see what Noah does on the track and what we, at LEGACY MOTOR CLUB and Wendy’s, can do off the track through our partnership,” said Legacy MC’s President of Business Operation, Bruce Mosley.
“Welcoming Wendy’s on my No. 42 Chevy in the NASCAR Cup Series is just perfect. I love their food, and I’m not afraid of a little beef. The partnership matches my personality, and we [me and the fans] are going to have fun with it. For my first Daytona with Legacy Motor Club and the No. 42 team, I can’t wait to get on the track and give it our all,” Noah Gregson said about the announcement.
Noah Gragson has two Daytona 500 starts under his belt in the Cup series. Both came with Beard Motorsports No:62 Chevy in 2021 and 2022. He failed to qualify for the main event on the first try, and in 2022 he qualified and scored a P31 finish. He has one Daytona win in his career, which came in 2020 for JRM in the XfinitySeriess season opener.
