Tyler Reddick hopes to use his Bristol disappointment ‘as more momentum’ in Talladega as he plans to ‘stay out of trouble’ at the superspeedway

Misfortunes and bad luck have been a constant companion for Tyler Reddick this season as the RCR driver is yet to convert his mazing runs this season to a maiden career win. Tyler Reddick is among the consistent drivers of the season with five top 10 finishes to his name, in which he had a chance at the victory lane on three occasions.
His most disappointing finish came at last Sunday’s Food City Dirt Race at Bristol where the No:8 driver was wrecked out of the track by Chase Briscoe in the last corner of the race which gave veteran Kyle Busch the opportunity to steal the win.
Tyler Reddick will enter Talledega this upcoming Sunday hoping to make amends but considering his bad patch of luck and a poor finish at the season beginner at Daytona will be a challenge to overcome. Now he has come out suggesting that he will be using his Bristol finish as a good momentum to convert future runs including Talladega to a win.

Tyler Reddick acknowledged that Talladega is one of the race tracks where the drivers should expect the unexpected as someone can climb up from P20 to P1 within limited laps. He added that his No:8 Richard Childress Racing team will be hitting the track with a similar mindset.
“Talladega is one of the racetracks that we go to and you’ve just got to expect the unexpected. You can be running second with three laps to go and finish 20th and you can be running 20th with three laps to go and end up winning. My No. 8 team and I go into each race weekend with the same mindset and that is to run up front and win,” Tyler Reddick said.
Tyler Reddick went on to say that his team will be using his Bristol finish where he came so close to winning only to lose after the last corner crash as momentum going forward. He went on to explain his game plan for Sunday which includes hitting all the marks on track by listening to the spotter and staying out of trouble which is very hard in superspeedways. Tyler Reddick added that he is hoping for a good weekend as they enter straight to qualifying at Talladega.
“Last weekend, we were really close to that first win, and instead of using that as a reason to be frustrated, we’re using it as more momentum. As the driver, I’m going to focus on listening to my spotter and crew chief, hitting all my marks, and staying out of trouble. Staying out of trouble is hard at these superspeedways but those drivers end up being at the front when the white flag waved. The schedule is also different this weekend with no practice and straight to qualifying so we’ll see how that goes for us. I’m looking forward to a good weekend at Talladega,” Tyler Reddick added.
