NASCAR’s Atlanta Cup race saw Daniel Suarez claim victory in the car number 99 with a 0.003 seconds margin over Ryan Blaney. However, on the other side of the pack, SHR’s Chase Briscoe suffered an accident in the middle of the race and did not finish the race in Georgia. It marked an end to a disappointing race week for SHR that started with two of their drivers failing pre-race inspection.

The race on Sunday had provided great entertainment among fans and had multiple three, four-wide moments down the straights. The race also didn’t lack any crashes as there were around 10 cautions that were called during the race. 29-year-old Brsicoe was the victim of one such crash that involved JGR’s Denny Hamlin.

Briscoe blamed Bubba Wallace for the contact and his DNF. Moreover, he claimed that Wallace was on his right rear and must have initiated the contact. However, this was not the case and Briscoe had contact with Hamlin which had caused both of the cars to sustain some crucial damage. It seems that the No:14 Ford got lost and Briscoe was just confused about what occurred during the incident.

I got put in a weird spot like I said off the two. i think his Bubba was kind of on my right rear and shoved me and it turned me left and then Denny was, I think it was Denny was right on my left rear and we were we had to be 3 or 4 wide getting into three and I felt like somebody just tagged me getting in but like I said, it could have been aero related. Yeah, I just, my spotter told me to get up and I kind of hesitated so that.
Brisco told Fox Sports.

The SHR driver shared a message for his team on X and looked optimistic despite his retirement from the last race. Briscoe looks in the groove despite finishing at the bottom end of the field and wants to prove his worth in the race at Las Vegas.

So proud of the Stewart Haas Racing-14 guys for bringing me an amazing car this weekend. This is gonna be a fun year if we can keep bringing cars with that kind of speed and handling. Ready for Vegas!

On the other hand, the 29-year-old became a NASCAR Cup driver back in 2021 and since has shown glimpses of performances. The young gun wants to ace the rest of the tracks on the calendar and take on the show to the big guys.
