He had a tough start going into the grass collecting a lot of it and also a lot of mud blocking his radiator and sending him to the pit stop early costing him his position on the track starting from 10th place and falling a lap behind but he soon managed to catch up finishing 7th at the end of Stage 1. A.J. Allmendinger has by far had a really good season with two victories and seven top 5s throughout the season so far, and his team owner, Matt Kaulig is extremely happy with his performance so far.

Allmendinger’s team owner, Matt Kaulig has expressed his thirst for victories and he believes that performing well in a race obviously is a good feeling but to emerge triumphant in them is a completely different morale booster and that he has made it the team’s motto to go out there and win as many events as they can.

“It’s fun to be there and just run around the track and do the best you can. But it’s another thing to actually go out and try to win trophies, so, we decided as an organization a few years ago that that’s what we wanted to do. We wanted to go win trophies. We’re hunting trophies every race. When we go out there, it’s on purpose to go win a trophy,” said Matt Kaulig.

He also added by saying that the whole team is with him on this and that they share the same hunger for victories as him and that they envision it as their responsibility and not a mere task and he appreciates his team’s efforts in doing so and that they want to end up being the best that is out there.

“It’s not just a job. You just don’t go to work, put in your day, put in your hours, and then go home, we’re there to win. We want every organization to be as great as it can be. … You’re competing every single day to be the best and to beat your competition, no matter who they are,” concluded Matt Kaulig, owner of Kaulig Racing.

A.J. Allmendinger is well up on his team’s confidence in him and he wants to do right by all of them as he says that he pushes himself beyond his limits for each race so he can live up to his team owner, Matt Kaulig’s expectations and acquire wins and poles for them because they deserve it.
