NASCAR in the Next-Gen era has come with a lot of new projects and innovative ideas to access a new set of fans and give the current fans a new opportunity. The most recent reported project of the team is potentially racing in the MLB team Los Angeles Dodgers comic stadium.

The stadium dates back to 1967 when it finished the completion of its facilities and opened to the public. The project costs over $23 million in today’s money. Now it is reported by the SBJ that NASCAR is potentially looking into hosting a race by building a temporary track in the infield of the iconic stadium.

Adam Stern reports on SBJ.

No confirmation has been given on the matter, as the reports suggest that the stadium is seen as a prime location by NASCAR. It would be a mutually beneficial deal for NASCAR and MLB alongside the Dodgers as both will be able to attract more eyes to their respective sports with the attempt.

NASCAR has already proved they could pull off such a move

The LA Clash at the Colosseum has been one of the major projects taken up by NASCAR in the Next-Gen era. The USC Trojans stadium has hosted some major events, one of which being the Busch Light Clash at the Colosseum.

NASCAR has hosted three versions of the event with different years things only got better. The race, despite being on a short track, has produced two last-lap battles recently. So similarly making a temporary track won’t be hard for the sanctioning body.

But the fan reaction to it would be vital, as there is the possibility that fans would choose to overlook the sanctioning body’s antics. The project money that NASCAR could use to receive short tracks owned and operated by the sport.
